Fresh, representing the first generation of Hip-Hop knows that fashion was a huge contributor to the emergence of the genre at the time and continues to be a major force to this day. For current fans, rap icon Doug E. Fresh offered a sartorial history lesson when he took to the stage.

Breakdown: Although an emerging trend in this world of music is now is skinny jeans, but that doesn’t mean that regular fit jeans and even baggy pants have fallen by the wayside. Fresh rocked the mic in front of a packed stadium clad in black jeans and the quintessential loud green jacket with yellow trim. Hip-Hop has always been about a heavy dose of color, swagger, and fashion-forward attitude.

Doug E. Fresh didn’t disappoint his fans and his look is still one of the most iconic ones around: now, today and forever.

Oh, and don’t forget the kicks. The shoes always have to be fly. It’s in the Hip-Hop Bible.
