Photo Feature: A Country Life from Dublin, Ireland

Standing Guard

Shot on Location at County Wicklow, Ireland. (slideshow)

Dublin, Ireland.

Last year’s love affair with heritage continues this Autumn, and it’s perfect for the season.

Colours are burgundy, cream, browns and greens, accented with ochre and russet. Fabrics are textured tweeds, chunky knits and soft suede and leather. Natural colours and natural fibres are central to the heritage look.

There’s a feeling of an Autumn spent wandering on windswept beaches, or traipsing about rural Ireland with horses and dogs. It’s a look somewhere between Diane Keaton in Annie Hall and a young Princess Anne, with the elegance and glamour of Grace Kelly.

Get the look with full, mid-calf length skirts, tweed jackets with elbow patches, camel coats, old Barbours and vintage Aquascutum macs, chunky knits, autum coloured skinny jeans, Chelsea boots and riding boots.
