Body conscious wear is not for everyone, but for the woman who is comfortable in her own skin and a trendsetter, Cara Cheung’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a perfect fit.  Toronto’s very own, Cheung describes the Cara Cheung woman as glamorous and sophisticated with a dark side and that she is.

Last season Cheung wooed us with well-tailored craftsmanship for her eveningwear line mixing leathers and adding jewel embellishments.  For this year’s collection the theme was tribal and the beauty trend was luminous skin. Models were pale faced sporting wild grungy hair with nude lips and fiercely dramatic eyes.  The collection featured thigh high minis paired with leather fringe finished halter tops and intense body fitted bodices and dresses.

Ramp1885 had an opportunity asked Cheung for the inspiration behind this season’s collection “My SS’13 collection was inspired by tribal prints, eclecticism and powerful Amazon women.” Cheung says “I’ve incorporated graphic prints, bold colours and mixed textures to create a kind of glamour that was raw and intense over polished.” RAMP’s excited to see what’s in store for Cheung’s Winter/Fall 13/14 collection.
