Singapore continues to blaze the digital fashion trail with their unique runway presentations.

On 20th October 2012  the world’s first Digital Fashion Week (DFW) took the virtual world by storm. For one week, DFW streamed live fashion videos to viewers all around the world in a move that truly transcends all geographic and cultural barriers.

The aim of this groundbreaking feature in fashion history was to unify the two extremely popular trends of fashion and digitalism. Viewers from around the world were exposed to different fashion styles from Asia as well had the opportunity to broaden their thoughts and opinions towards the future of fashion.

Live video streaming will featured collections from popular local designers like Thomas Wee, Pauline Ning, Eugene Lin, J-A-S-O-N and Ownmuse alongside internationally renowned designer Guo Pei – dubbed as the “Chanel of China” and known as one of China’s top ten designers. Her works have caught the attention of stars like Zhang Ziyi and Lady Gaga.

Notable faces graced the ramp and the front row including Sex & The City costume designer, Patricia Fields, while walking the runway for Guo Pei, included Andrej Pejic, the New York based androgynous supermodel who is arguably one of the hottest fashion models in demand and has walked for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Men and Women collections and  appeared in fashion bibles such as Vogue Italia and French Vogue. DFW Singapore was the first and only Spring/Summer 2013 fashion week that Andrej walked for.

These ready-to-wear and couture collections were available for pre-order both locally and internationally from 20th October through 30 November though ZALORA Singapore which is the official ecommerce platform of Digital Fashion Week. Customers will have the chance to own these exclusive pieces before they hit the stores in mid 2013.
