Dahlia Schweitzer: The Looks | The Books

By: Triston

If you are on a budget, there are thrift shops in every city that can fit not only your tastes, but your budget. Depending on your personal sense of style, there are plenty of possibilities to suit you up with singularity. One of the most important aspects of budget shopping is to remember your own style strengths and play them up. We caught up with one of the busiest women we know to find out how she juggles her art and her look.

How does she do it?

Dahlia has remained a force to be reckoned with from the stage to the page. Now back in Los Angeles and continuing her path of artistic expression, Dahlia has recently been selected as one of the most fashionable teachers in L.A. Fittingly, she has done it in a way that goes beyond labels and brands. For the everywoman out there on a budget, Dahlia proves that fashion is what you make it and how you wear it.

On shopping at name brand stores:

“I can’t remember the last time I bought something at a department store…and who can afford boutiques?”

Her mantra:

“Remember, everyone else is shopping at the department stores. Do you want to look like everyone else? Buying the best clothes you can afford does not mean shopping at the most expensive stores. You can find amazing pieces at second hand stores. Less is more!”
