I finally made it to the largest fashion event in the Baltic region – 17th Riga Fashion Week S/S 2013. Once again, it pleased with its diverse program – fashion extravaganza defiles, the nonstop party beats, and various entertaining events, that filled the gloomy city with a festive and spring mood. Today: Ingrida Zabere, Narciss and Katya Shehurina are on our fashion pedestal!

Ingrida Zabere – Re-chic in every length and color

“Every single piece of the source material or fabric is recycled!” – one of the main manufacturing principles of Ingrida’s recycle philosophy. Conceptual evening gown collection was made of 77 men cotton shirts, polyester scarves and other fabulous garments, that never seem go out of style or fashion!

Narciss – A little narcissus in all of us

The collection “Austra” has been inspired by the Baltic mythology and folkloric symbols that can be seen in the embroidered details and print of the fabrics. Way too kitschy, humorous themes mixed up with something that is flattering and elegant.

KatyaKatya – Vintage soft feel

The Riga-based fashion designer Katya Shehurina created her own brand back in 2007, right after graduating from ESMOD fashion design school in France. Her creations can be distinctively recognized by several key attributes, such as having a special vintage feel, but at the same time remaining highly versatile and practical.

The most recent KatyaKatya’s collection was undoubtedly appealing and graceful. The designer employed very delicate lace elements, handmade embroidery details and floating silk. Just lovely!
