It is an endless summer for this tropical paradise.

The streets may get crowded and the sun can get scathing, but with bays and rivers and considerable amounts of lush greenery tucked in segments within the concrete jungle, Manileños always find ways to feel fresh and unsullied by the tropical heat.

People usually dress up according to the weather. Thus, a myriad of cotton blouses and polo shirts parade on the streets on a typical day. Some ladies slip in breezy sun dresses, and the guys walk around in board shorts and honeycomb polo shirts. Come evening when the air gets cooler, or on days when rain falls from the sky, throwing on a cardigan can do the trick.

And when all else fails, wearing a smile is enough.
